Mookie Betts helps guide Red Sox to game three win of ALDS

by Dan Tursky | Dodgers Correspondent | Mon, Oct 8th 11:41pm EDT

Mookie Betts was 2-for-5 with two RBI and a walk as he helped Boston take a decisive 2-1 ALDS series lead over New York on Monday night.

Fantasy Impact:

Betts scored on a J.D. Martinez sacrifice fly after reaching in the third, scoring Boston's second run of the game. This equated to all the damage the team would end up requiring as they went on to dominantly win 16-1. The RBIs were Betts' first of the postseason and he finally looked completely locked in at the plate, even his outs were hit hard on Monday. The eventual AL MVP will attempt to send his team to the ALCS on Tuesday as he will square off with C.C. Sabathia, a pitcher he holds a career .429 (12-for-28) batting average against.
