Diamondbacks tender contract to Mark Trumbo

by Evan Triantafilidis | Mon, Dec 8th 10:25pm EST

The Diamondbacks tendered a contract to outfielder Mark Trumbo. All six arbitration-eligible players were offered a contract and the two sides will exchange proposed salary figures for the 2015 season on Jan. 16 and, if necessary, arbitration hearings are scheduled to take place from Feb. 1-21. Fantasy Impact:

The tendered contract may keep the outfielder in Arizona for now, but trade rumors could lead to his departure after only one year as a Diamondback. A stress fracture in his left foot had him sidelined for nearly three months, but if he does in fact stay in Arizona and the hitter-friendly Chase Field, more Trum-bombs should be on the way. Be sure to monitor his status as trade bait.
