Diamondbacks tender contract to Wade Miley

The Diamondbacks tendered a contract to starting pitcher Wade Miley. All six arbitration-eligible players were offered a contract and the two sides will exchange proposed salary figures for the 2015 season on Jan. 16 and, if necessary, arbitration hearings are scheduled to take place from Feb. 1-21. Fantasy Impact:
Miley was the only thing reliable about the Dbacks’ pitching rotation last season. After logging 200+ innings in consecutive seasons, Miley’s ERA increased to an ugly 4.34, but he also increased his strikeouts to a career high 183 -- good for the 12th best in the NL. With Patrick Corbin and Jeremy Hellickson set to be a part of the rotation, it might not be Wade’s world anymore in Phoenix, but he could supply some much needed strikeouts in the fantasy world.
