The Detroit Tigers acquired OF Yoenis Cespedes, RHP Alex Wilson, and RHP Gabe Speier from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for RHP Rick Porcello. (FOX Sports)

Fantasy Impact:

After losing Torii Hunter to free agency, the Tigers needed another corner outfielder and got a good one in Cespedes, who should be the Tigers' starting left fielder. Cespedes will have great fantasy value as he will likely bat behind Ian Kinsler, Miguel Cabrera, and Victor Martinez. In 152 games between Oakland and Boston the past season, Cespedes slashed .260/.301/.450 with 22 home runs and 100 RBI. Although Cespedes has never had a high batting average, he has the ability to hit the ball out of the park as well as swipe some bags with 7 SB in each of the pat two seasons, and 16 SB in 2012, his first season. Early projections have Cespedes as a top-20 OF, batting around .260 with 23 HR, 90 RBI, and 7 SB.
