Gary Sanchez to undergo left shoulder debridement

Gary Sanchez will undergo a left shoulder debridement, according to Brian Cashman. The recovery time is expected to be roughly three months and Sanchez should be ready by Opening Day. (Lindsey Adler on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Shoulder injuries are always scary for hitters, but at least this is an explanation for Sanchez's struggles for much of the season. If Sanchez is ready for Spring Training, then he should again be drafted as one of the top catchers off the board. But monitor his progress from the surgery this offseason.
