Paul Goldschmidt has been a hot topic of trade conversations this offseason. It's been confirmed that the St. Louis Cardinals have engaged in serious negotiations with the Diamondbacks, so much so that a trade package has been discussed. (Jon Morosi on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Goldschmidt's potential move from Arizona to St. Louis would take him out of the hitter-friendly environment of Chase Field and into the more middling offensive environment of Busch Stadium. However, with the Cardinals overall offensive talent exceeding that of Arizona's, the move likely wouldn't be an issue for Goldy's production.
