The Diamondbacks and Merrill Kelly have reportedly agreed to a two-year, $5.5 million deal, according to Jeff Passan. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Kelly has not pitched in the majors, but was extremely effective in the Korean Baseball Organization over the last four seasons, pitching to a 3.86 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. Those numbers don't jump off the page, but considering how hitter-friendly the KBO is, they're relatively impressive. In his age-30 season, it's unlikely that Kelly will be a superstar, but monitor his performance in Spring Training, as he may be a late-round sleeper this season.
