Will Middlebrooks likely headed to San Diego

The Padres and Red Sox are rumored to have nearly completed a trade that will send 3B Will Middlebrooks to Petco for C Ryan Hanigan. Middlebrooks projects to start at the hot corner for the Padres, as Hanigan will share catching duties with Christian Vazquez for the Red Sox. (Rob Bradford on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
A hitter moving to Petco Park is never good news, and this could sound especially grim considering Middlebrooks is leaving the hitting friendly confines of Fenway Park. However, with the additions of Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Rameriz, there seemed to be no spot for him in a suddenly loaded Red Sox lineup, so the change in scenery will certainly help him from a fantasy perspective as he should see everyday at bats in a completely re-tooled Padres lineup.
