Mookie Betts has avoided arbitration with the Red Sox by agreeing to a one-year, $20 million contract on Friday. (Ben Nicholson-Smith on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It's a big jump from the $10.5 million Betts made in 2018. It's a well deserved raise, however, considering Betts won the MVP award by slashing .346/.438/.640 with 32 homers and 30 steals. There has been some talk of an extension for Betts this winter, though those negotiations likely won't take place until Bryce Harper and Manny Machado sign. Betts is a top-two pick for 2019 fantasy drafts.
