Max Scherzer pitches two innings in spring debut

Max Scherzer struck out three and allowed a homer in his two innings of Cactus League work on Saturday afternoon.

Scherzer is deservedly being drafted as the top pitcher off the board after throwing 200+ innings in each of the past six seasons. Last year Scherzer finished second in the Cy Young voting while posting a 2.53 ERA with 300 strikeouts and 18 wins across 220 2/3 innings pitched.
