Tim Anderson hits first spring homer

by Matthew Adam | Marlins Correspondent | Fri, Mar 1st 9:08am EST

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson turned in a big game against the Mariners in a spring training game on Thursday. Anderson went 2-for-3 with a solo homer. He also added another RBI in the game.

Fantasy Impact:

Anderson has pieced together two straight seasons with at least 15 homers and 15 steals but his poor plate discipline (5.0% walk rate in 2018) keeps his batting average down. The power/speed combo keeps him in play as a solid shortstop option in mixed fantasy leagues, just don't count on him to improve in the batting average category anytime soon.
