Willy Adames has spent the offseason focusing on gaining strength and working on a slight adjustment at the plate, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports. Adames says that he eliminated the toe tap from his swing, and that he will only have a leg kick. He says it feels comfortable because it's not much of a change (mlb.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Adames will go into Opening Day as the team's starting shortstop after finishing 2018 strong with the club. The 23-year old has a chance to be a 20-20 player down the road and could be a sleeper pick up at the end of drafts for fantasy owners needing infield depth.
