San Francisco Giants not pursuing Dan Haren

The San Francisco Giants did inquire about Miami Marlins' pitcher Dan Haren earlier in the offseason before signing picther Jake Peavy to a two-year deal. However, according to reporter Jon Morosi, there hasn't been any active dialogue between the Marlins and Giants about Haren recently. (HNGN.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Even if the Giants don't actively seek out Haren, they could still later ask for his services since their pitching could use the help. Tim Hudson will miss two months after successful ankle surgery, Yusmeiro Petit is a fringe-rotation option, and Tim Lincecum may stay in the bullpen in 2015. A trade for Haren still seems unlikely, but it's possible.
