Josh Bell hits first homer of the spring Tuesday

Josh Bell went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in the Pirates' 10-4 spring win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Bell absolutely crushed one to straight-away center off Orioles closer Mychal Givens in the fifth. He now has an .857 OPS in 14 ABs this spring. Bell will look to bounce back after a disappointing 2018 season that saw him post just a .261 AVG and .150 ISO in 583 PA. His 13.2% walk rate was nice, but Bell will need to improve upon his 48.5% groundball rate if he wants to hit for more power. His 9.2% HR/FB rate was abnormally low, but not egregious given Bell's batted ball profile and his home ballpark. He's a late round corner infielder in mixed leagues.
