Jose Alvarado struck out two in a scoreless inning on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
The 23-year-old looked great in his first action of the spring versus the University of South Florida. The Rays are not yet naming an official closer but Alvarado figures to be in the mix for saves early on. The nasty lefty picked up eight saves last year and has all the makings of becoming a dominant reliever.
