Carlos Martinez (elbow) is still 5-7 days away from throwing a baseball, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. (Derrick Goold on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Expect him to start the season on the injured list, and it sounds like extended spring training will be in Martinez's future as he rehabs this injury. Martinez has said on record he'd like to work as a starter, and for that to happen he'll need to ramp up his innings to get stretched out. It's hard to nail down an exact time frame given this injury, but expect to be without him for at least the first 10 days of the season.
