Freddy Peralta tosses three perfect innings Friday

Freddy Peralta threw three perfect innings in the Brewers' 6-3 spring win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Peralta also recorded three strikeouts along the way. The young right-hander is in the mix for a rotation spot this spring, and if he wins the job Peralta has flashed big strikeout upside. He is best known for his fastball-heavy approach, as Peralta uses multiple grips and deception to fool hitters on a consistent basis. It helped him post an 11.03 K/9 in 78.1 innings last season. Along with that monster strikeout rate came an untenable 4.6 BB/9 and 52% flyball rate. Peralta will have a hard time surviving in Miller Park with a flyball rate that high, especially if he's walking 12.5% of the batters he faces. He's a high-risk, high-upside late round option.
