Anthony Alford hits two homers on Friday

Anthony Alford went 3-for-5 with a pair of solo homers as a Blue Jays split-squad shut out a Pirates split-squad 11-0 on Friday in Grapefruit League action.
Fantasy Impact:
Alford has been a highly regarded prospect for years but can't seem to break into the majors. Alford has the power but strikes out too often with a 26.9% average in Triple A last season. Alford is trying to earn a backup role with the team but more than likely the Jays will want him playing everyday in the minors to start the year.
