Martin Maldonado signing with Royals

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports the Royals and Martin Maldonado are in agreement on a one-year deal worth $2.5 million. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Maldonado can earn an additional $1.4 million in incentives. The defensive stalwart has been searching for a starting job all winter and didn’t find one until the Royals lost Salvador Perez for the year. Maldonado isn’t much of an offensive presence, which means he’s only relevant in two-catcher fantasy formats.
