Craig Kimbrel: Rays have maintained regular contact

Fantasy Impact:
Topkin adds that a deal between the two sides is still unlikely. It makes sense for the Rays to get involved if Kimbrel would consider a shorter term contract, but thus far that hasn't been the case. At this point Kimbrel likely won't be ready for the first week or two of the season, even if he signs tomorrow. He's becoming an increasingly riskier fantasy pick by the day.
