Chicago Cubs reliever Pedro Strop is dealing with a mild hamstring strain and will not throw off a mound for at least a week, according to a report from Patrick Mooney of The Athletic Chicago. (Patrick Mooney on Twitter)

With Brandon Morrow also expected to not be ready for the start of the regular season, it is possible that the Cubs might have to get creative at the closer position. Carl Edwards Jr. and Steve Chisek are options to close if both Strop and Morrow are unavailable in April.
