Starling Marte hits RBI double Tuesday

by Elliott Baas | Mets Correspondent | Wed, Mar 13th 3:00am EDT

Starling Marte went 1-for-2 with an RBI double in the Pirates' 10-4 spring loss to the Twins on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Marte has had a quiet spring, hitting just .167 with a .538 OPS in 12 AB. Spring performance doesn't really matter for a proven player like Marte, and he'll have his spot atop Pittsburgh's order come opening day. Even if his 19 home runs look a little suspect based on history and a mediocre power profile, the speedy veteran should be a lock for at least 30 steals and a batting average north of .280 this season. While not a bargain, Marte is a solid value at his current ADP of 35.
