Dakota Hudson allows one run in spring start Wednesday

by Elliott Baas | Rockies Correspondent | Thu, Mar 14th 2:03am EDT

Dakota Hudson allowed one run on two hits over three innings in the Cardinals' 4-1 spring loss to the Marlins on Wednesday. He walked three and struck out three.

Fantasy Impact:

Hudson was recently named one of the finalists for the fifth starter job in St. Louis, and today's outing was a mixed bag. He struggled with walks, something that plagued him during his time in the majors last season. Hudson had an atrocious 15.3% walk rate out of the Cardinals' bullpen in 2018, and if he doesn't curb the walks he'll struggle to win the rotation spot. He's worth a late round flier in NL-only and deep mixed leagues, but not much more than that.
