Francisco Mejia went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored as the Padres beat the Angels on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Mejia is now hitting .414 with a 1.314 OPS this spring. He is doing everything he can to show the Padres he belongs in the majors. However, fellow backstop Austin Edges is also having a good spring and remains the better defender. It's hard to see Mejia getting enough at bats to be relevant in single catcher fantasy leagues right now. If something changes, though, Mejia has top-five upside at his position.
