Anthony DeSclafani racks up seven strikeouts Saturday

Anthony DeSclafani allowed one run on two hits over five innings in the Reds' 5-2 spring victory over the Rangers. He walked zero and struck out seven.

Fantasy Impact:

This was a dominant outing from DeSclafani, who is looking to bounce back after posting a 4.93 ERA in 21 starts for the Reds last season. His poor outcomes were largely a result of his atrocious 1.88 HR/9 rate, a number that looks bloated even considering DeSclafani's home ballpark. If his 19.8% HR/FB rate normalizes, at least to some degree, then DeSclafani could pitch closer to his 3.96 SIERA from last season. He's more of a low-upside sleeper that could have sneaky value in 2019, especially in NL-only leagues.
