Brett Gardner likely to open the season in center field

Brett Gardner is expected to serve as the Yankees' everyday center fielder to begin the season with Aaron Hicks (back) ruled out for Opening Day, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports. (NY Daily News)

Gardner was battling Clint Frazier for the starting left field job going into spring training but looks like he will shift over to center to cover for Hicks. Gardner is worth an add in 14 team leagues and deeper as he can score runs and steal bases for fantasy owners.
