Pete Alonso swats fourth spring homer

by Brendan Tuma | Mets Correspondent | Sun, Mar 17th 6:56pm EDT

Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 10-5 loss to the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact:

The long shot was Alonso's fourth of the spring. The slugging first baseman is now hitting .347 during Grapefruit League play and has done everything in his power to break camp with the team. The Mets will undoubtedly send him to the minors to begin the year, however, as they'll want to gain an extra year of club control later on. Alonso should be up with the Mets a few weeks into the season and is worth drafting and stashing.
