Jesus Luzardo is being shut down from throwing for 4-6 weeks with a muscle strain in his left (throwing) shoulder. (Jane Lee on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
One of the best pitching prospects in baseball, and perhaps Oakland's best starter, Luzardo had a chance to arrive in the majors as early as mid-April. That won't happen now, however, which means he can remain on waiver wires in redraft leagues. Still, if and when he gets called up to the A's he will be worth picking up in fantasy on upside alone.
