ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports Blake Snell and the Rays are in agreement on a five-year, $50 million extension. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Extension season continues. The contract will cover this year, Snell’s three arbitration’s years, and what would’ve been his first season of free agency. It doesn’t include any opt outs. It’s a pretty team friendly deal for the Rays and it also sets up the reigning Cy Young winner for life. It’s the most money ever given to a player with two years of service time.
