Jed Lowrie (knee) won’t be ready for Opening Day

Mets manager Mickey Callaways suggested Thursday Jed Lowrie (knee) will likely begin the season on the injured list. (Anthony DiComo on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Lowrie just started throwing and hitting about a week and a half ago, which doesn’t give him enough time to get ready for Opening Day. The Mets will play it safe with the veteran infielder. He shouldn’t be out too long. A return in mid-April is very much in play.
