Fantasy Impact:
Olson suffered the injury in Thursday’s Japan Series game. The A’s didn’t provide a timetable for his return but this type of surgery usually takes at least 4-6 weeks to recover from. Worsening the situation is the fact that many hitters struggle to rediscover their power stroke initially after returning. Olson can be safely dropped in standard fantasy leagues for now.
