Jacob deGrom, Mets agree to five-year extension

Fantasy Impact:

deGrom is currently in New York to take his physical to complete the contract. Jeff Passan of ESPN adds the extension will be worth $137.5 million over five years. deGrom also has an opt out after 2022, and there’s a club option for 2024. The deGrom extension caps off a productive off-season for the new Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen.
