Fantasy Impact:

The terms of the deal haven't been announced. Hendricks was previously under contract through the 2020 season, so the Cubs extended team control for three additional years. The 29-year-old has become fantasy relevant over the past few years, though he's not the type of pitcher that profiles as a staff ace. Our current expert rankings have him going just outside the top 100 picks and projected for an ERA and WHIP of 3.70 and 1.21 with over 150 strikeouts on the season.
