Maikel Franco homers in the Phillies Opening Day win over the Braves

Maikel Franco homered off of Shane Carle in the sixth inning of Thursday's Opening Day win. He went 1-for-3 with three RBI, a run scored, a walk and a strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
The Phillies were initially making a strong run at Manny Machado this offseason. The most uncomfortable person through that must have been Maikel Franco as he would've been out of a job in Philadelphia. His patience and perseverance paid off for himself and the Phillies on Thursday as he launched a homer that helped the Phillies to their win on Opening Day. He should be a valuable asset for them all season.
