Josh Hader records two-inning save Thursday

by Elliott Baas | Astros Correspondent | Thu, Mar 28th 11:32pm EDT

Josh Hader pitched two perfect innings and recorded his first save of 2019 in the Brewers' 5-4 win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Hader struck out four of the six batters he faced, but was also fortunate that Lorenzo Cain pulled back a would-be home run for the final out of the game. With Corey Knebel (elbow) and Jeremy Jeffress (shoulder) ailing, Hader will likely be in line for the most save opportunities in Milwaukee right now, even if he's not named the official closer. It would be hard to imagine him pitching Friday after throwing 21 pitches on Thursday.
