Manager Brandon Hyde confirmed that Alex Cobb (groin) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list to start Thursday's home opener against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. (Roch Kubatko on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Cobb had originally been slated to start the Opening Day road game this past Thursday but he suffered a mild groin injury during his final spring training tuneup and had to be placed on the 10-day injured list to begin the season. Cobb is coming off a disappointing 2018 season when he went 5-15 with a 4.90 ERA in 28 starts.
