Ivan Nova excellent in season debut
by Matthew Adam | Mon, Apr 1st 8:57pm EDT
Chicago White Sox right-hander Ivan Nova was excellent in his first start of the season. Nova pitched seven innings of one-run ball against Cleveland, striking out four and walking one. He had to settle for a no-decision as Chicago lost to the Indians 5-3.
Fantasy Impact:
Nova and Mike Clevinger put on a pitching clinic for the fans in this one. Nova is worth considering as a waiver add in deeper leagues but just keep in mind he has limited strikeout upside as a sinkerballer and probably won't win many games pitching for the Sox.
