Felipe Vazquez allowed one unearned run over 1.1 innings in the Pirates' 6-5 extra innings loss to the Cardinals on Monday. He struck out one and walked zero.
Fantasy Impact:
An error by shortstop Erik Gonzalez meant that the run didn't count towards Vazquez's ERA, but the Pirates' closer did serve up a huge double to Jose Martinez that drove in the tying run. Vazquez wasn't saddled with a blown save or a loss, and is still the unquestioned closer in Pittsburgh.
