Kevin Pillar has been traded to the San Fransisco Giants in exchange for infielder, Alen Hanson, and two right-handed pitchers: Juan De Paula and Derek Law. (Blue Jays on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Pillar will upgrade a Giants' outfield and will be controlled by them for the next two years. Pillar takes a hit in park factor moving from Toronto to San Francisco. It's also not clear what role he'll play with the Giants, though he should continue to see regular at-bats. The trade of Pillar should open the door for prospect Anthony Alford, who the Blue Jays have indicated they hope to provide opportunities for.
