Alex Cobb allowed two earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out four across 5 2/3 innings Thursday against the Yankees. He did not factor in the decision.

Cobb made his season debut on Thursday against the Yankees after missing the first week of the regular season with a minor groin strain. The veteran starter is coming off a down year in 2018 when he finished 5-15 with a 4.90 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. Cobb will next face the A's in Baltimore on Wednesday.
