Edwin Encarnacion (hand) out of the lineup on Friday

Edwin Encarnacion (hand) is not in the Mariners' lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox. Dan Vogelbach will DH and bat eighth. (Seattle Mariners PR on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Encarnacion was scratched from the lineup on Tuesday with his hand injury, but was expected to play today. Especially considering that Encarnacion has had several days to rest at this point, his absence from the lineup is troubling. There's no reason to panic just yet, but if Encarnacion can't return by tomorrow, an IL stint could be in the making. Vogelbach has a solid power profile, and would make a decent pickup in deeper leagues if Encarnacion is forced to miss time.
