Jose Quintana allowed eight runs on eight hits in three innings in the Cubs' 13-10 loss to the Brewers on Friday. He walked three and struck out three while falling to 0-1.
Fantasy Impact:
Quintana couldn't stop serving up home runs in this one, as he allowed three in the firs three innings. Quintana's skills have been on the decline over the last two seasons, and while this start was on the extreme end of the bad spectrum, Quintana's viability as a rotation mainstay should be in doubt. His home run rate and walk rate have gone up for three straight seasons and his velocity is on the decline. He can't be trusted in his next start Thursday against the Pirates.
