Trevor Williams allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits over six innings in the Pirates' 6-5 extra innings win over the Reds on Saturday. He struck out three and walked zero in the no decision.
Williams wasn't as sharp in this one as he was during his first start of 2019, but he still did just enough to secure the quality start. That's the type of pitcher Williams profiles to be; a low-upside innings eater that does just enough to hold value in mixed leagues. His next start comes Friday against the Nationals in Washington.
