Joey Votto went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in the Reds' 6-5 extra innings loss to the Pirates on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Votto took Keone Kela deep in the eighth to send the game to extras for his first blast of 2019. Often revered as one of the games most disciplined hitters, Votto had a power outage in 2018, hitting just 12 home runs with a .135 ISO. Both of those numbers are career lows for Votto over a full season. The underlying numbers suggest Votto's power can rebound, and it was nice to see him break the seal on the long ball today.
