Zach Davies allows zero earned runs in win Sunday

by Elliott Baas | Royals Correspondent | Sun, Apr 7th 5:33pm EDT

Zach Davies allowed two runs (zero earned) on five hits over 5.2 innings in the Brewers' 4-2 win over the Cubs on Sunday. He walked two and struck out one.

Fantasy Impact:

Davies surrendered a two-run homer to Willson Contreras in this one, but the runs didn't count towards his ERA thanks to an Eric Thames throwing error that extended the inning. This may have wound up a decent start on the stat sheet, but one shouldn't expect Davies' low dominance pitching style to work consistently while pitching in Miller Park. He's a desperation streamer in mixed leagues, and he shouldn't be used next time out against the Dodgers on Saturday.
