Kyle Hendricks allows four runs in loss Sunday

by Elliott Baas | Cubs Correspondent | Sun, Apr 7th 5:41pm EDT

Kyle Hendricks allowed four runs on eight hits over four innings in the Cubs' 4-2 loss to the Brewers on Sunday. He walked one and struck out four while falling to 0-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Hendricks has gotten off to a rough start this season, owning a 6.38 ERA and 2.0 K/BB ratio in his first two outings. He's also surrendered three home runs thus far, which is surprising since Hendricks is normally pretty good about preventing the long ball. He has a reliable track record, having provided three straight seasons with an ERA of 3.44 or better, but with his poor fastball velocity and below average strikeout rate Hendricks can fall victim to bad batted ball luck. Owners should continue to trust him for now, and he's a fine play next time out against the Angels on Saturday.
