Matt Barnes pitched two perfect innings Sunday, striking out two batters and earning his first hold in a 1-0 win over Arizona.
Fantasy Impact:
Barnes picked up his first hold of the year as he pitched the seventh and eighth innings of the win. It looks like the Red Sox will be using Barnes in different spots out of the bullpen and is not going to be a traditional closer. He should still get some save opportunities but will also be used in earlier innings when needed. Fantasy owners may want to hold onto Barnes, for now, to see how things play out.
