Jose Alvarado worked around a hit and a walk to earn the save after a scoreless ninth inning in Sunday's 3-0 win over San Francisco. He struck out one batter.
Fantasy Impact:
The Rays have not designated a closer this season but it has been assumed that Alvarado would get the most chances. And it is working out that way as the 23-year-old reliever is now 4-for-4 in save opportunities. Fantasy owners should be owning Alvarado in all fantasy leagues.
