Shohei Ohtani continues to make progress in his recovery from October Tommy John surgery and remains on track to return to the Angels as a designated hitter in May. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Ohtani will not accompany the team on its road trip to Chicago and Texas, but he has been regularly taking batting practice on the field and throwing three times a week. Ohtani believes he can return as a hitter by the end of April, but May is probably more realistic. He won't pitch this year, but his hitting prowess will make him an immediate fantasy factor in all leagues with a utility spot.
