Luis Severino had an MRI that revealed a Grade 2 lat strain that wasn't present on a previous MRI. (Lindsey Adler on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The lat strain is a completely separate issue from the shoulder injury he was dealing with. The fact that he's shut down from throwing for at least six weeks is a huge blow to fantasy owners and the Yankees. This setback sets up Domingo German for some more starts in the Yankees rotation until Severino can get back to action.
